“It has all broken my heart”: Ben’s story
24 June 2025
At the CSSA, we have the privilege of working regularly with a small group of survivors.
They help us learn from their experiences, so that we may continually improve how we inspect safeguarding and help prevent harm. We don’t always get it right, but we don’t stop trying.
It is important that we hear individuals’ voices, and read their stories – unedited – as we hold a mirror to the Catholic Church.
This is Ben’s story.
