Board Changes

With gratitude and respect, the Board and staff at the CSSA have said a fond farewell to Sister Frances Orchard whose term with our Board has come to an end.

Sister Frances was the lead religious for safeguarding, and she brought to the CSSA deep insights, knowledge and experience. She advocated for the religious, having also sat on the Executive of the Conference of Religious of England and Wales (CoREW). She helped ensure that the diverse needs of religious life groups were understood and appreciated, in all she did for CSSA.

Sister Frances’ approach is gentle, but her impact is powerful. Her influence will be felt by the CSSA for many years to come.  We thank her for her wholehearted commitment to the work of the CSSA as we established our agency, fit to deliver on our vision of a safer Catholic Church for all. We wish her nothing but the best.

The CSSA will this week formally welcome Sister Una Coogan to our Board. Sister Una brings with her a vast background in spirituality, chaplaincy and Canon Law. I have no doubt that Sister Una will bring the expertise, support and challenge which every Board needs, and help us go from strength to strength. We look forward to working with her.
